Instagram has launched its new ‘Recommended for You’ function, which contains three to five suggested posts, based on those that have been liked by accounts you follow. The posts will be defined as a separate section to differentiate it from users’ own home feeds.

In addition to the launch of Dynamic Creative, Facebook’s adding a new option to help advertisers maximize their ad budgets. Called ‘Campaign Budget Optimization’, the new option is aimed at smaller businesses who need to more closely monitor their ad spend, but are also looking to run multiple ad sets.
Instagram tests posting Stories directly to WhatsApp
Last October, Facebook extended the usage (and flexibility) of Instagram Stories by making it easy to directly post a Story to Facebook. Now Facebook is looking at how to bring WhatsApp into the fold. It’s reported that an Instagram Story posted as a WhatsApp Status also becomes encrypted like the rest of WhatsApp.
Twitter updates DMs for businesses
Twitter announced several updates to its direct message features for businesses, which will better enable brands and developers to provide customer service via the social network.
Now Twitter users will be able to tell if their messages were read by customer-service agents or if a chatbot is in the process of responding, due to the introduction of read receipts and typing indicators.
