Facebook adds VR hangouts

Facebook opened up VR feature ‘Spaces’ a little more this week. It is now letting users connect in VR to up to three other members of Facebook Groups they’re in. For example, members of a “World Travelers” Facebook group could get together in Spaces and share 360-degree photos or videos there. For now, this is just an experiment, and Facebook says it’s going to incorporate feedback into its Spaces development.

Snapchat opens analytics

Snapchat has historically been a bit crap at allowing access to analytics. This week tens of thousands creators who make official Stories or have large followings will start seeing a slew of view count and demographic analytics on their Snapchat profile. The new analytics could help creators show their total reach to secure sponsored content and product placement deals with influencer programmes.

Facebook introduces Newsfeed Lists

Facebook users will soon be able to add their own  public to-do list to their Facebook profile. This a slow roll out globally with both numerical and bullet point format list will become available to select when creating a new status. Another way for Facebook to collect data?
