Book appointments via Instagram
Ever seen a mouth-watering meal on your Instagram feed and wanted to book a table at that restaurant immediately? Soon you’ll be able to book a table within the app.
Salon and restaurant table bookings could be set up by clicking on a business’ Instagram profile and using the new feature. “When someone books an appointment, that’s not a ‘like’ or a ‘follow,’ that’s actual action,” James Quarles, Instagram’s head of business, told Bloomberg.
Twitter’s secret messages
In a bid to compete with other messaging services, Twitter is rumored to be launching a ‘Secret’ encrypted messages feature. Twitter’s DM messages are subject to snooping by governments, hackers or Twitter itself. Launching encrypted DMs could win back some of those concerned about privacy on the platform.
