Siebel hires Text for regional media push

SINGAPORE: Enterprise software company Siebel Systems has tasked Text 100 on a retainer to execute media and analyst relations work across four Asian markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and India.

According to Text 100 senior account director, Jane Franklin, the tech PR firm had known for some months that the client was planning to move from incumbent Standfirst Communications.

She cited Text 100's regional network as the proof that it was capable of working across the different markets targeted by Siebel, and that these capabilities, in turn, contributed to the retainer win.

The comms strategy involves ramping up Siebel System's presence in key business titles such as the Asian Wall Street Journal as well in the trade press, said Franklin.

Vertical media and trade publications spanning finance, manufacturing, and similar inroads into a corporate client-base will be targeted, capitalising on Siebel's customer relationship management (CRM) software for large-scale corporates.

Franklin heads the Siebel account alongside Text 100's senior account manager, Mark Ha, and account executive Bernard Ang.

They report to Siebel Systems' Singapore-based south Asia marketing manager Jeremy Cooper.
