TEXT 100 PUBLIC RELATIONS CONTINUES PUSH INTO ASIA PACIFIC WITH OPENING OF HONG KONG SUBSIDIARY
Company Demonstrates Commitment to Organic Growth With Opening of 25th Wholly Owned Office

Hong Kong - October 25th, 1999 -- Text 100, the international technology PR consultancy, has opened a new subsidiary in Hong Kong as part of the company's continued expansion into Asia Pacific. Text 100's presence in the region now comprises wholly owned operations in India (Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai), Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Text 100 Hong Kong will be headed by Melanie Hamilton, who has worked throughout the Greater China region over the last decade including setting up and running Edelman's Shanghai office. Hamilton has already secured retainer-based work for Unisphere, a new Siemens spin-off, and Microsoft.

"Text 100 has only really focused on Asia Pacific since the middle of last year and yet we've already built considerable momentum," said Matthew Ravden, Text 100's Regional Director, Asia Pacific. "We have a reputation globally as a consultancy that really understands the technology industry, and when you combine that with the high levels of energy and commitment we're known for, you have a particularly compelling story for Asia Pacific."

"With regards to Hong Kong, it became clear as soon as we opened in Tokyo and Singapore that our regional service was incomplete without a presence in Hong Kong. With Hong Kong up and running, we can now offer a truly pan-regional service. But having said that we won't stop here. There's still work to do."

Text 100 has achieved a number of notable successes in Asia Pacific. Its client list across the region now includes Microsoft, Compaq, Apple, BT, SAP, HP, Sema Group and Unisphere Solutions.

Melanie Hamilton, Text 100 Hong Kong General Manager, said: "I'm proud to be part of such an exciting organization. The company has a very strong focus on people development, a youthful, hard working culture and a proposition in technology that is very easy to sell. The company has grown organically too, which shows how much Text 100 values its culture and methodology."
