Former Xerox Director of Worldwide Strategic Public Relations to Provide Counsel to Leading Technology Public Relations Firm
San Francisco--July 7, 1999 -- Text 100 Group plc today announced that it has appointed John C. Rasor, former Director of Worldwide Strategic Public Relations for The Document Company Xerox, to its advisory board and also as a Senior Consultant within its North American business. In this role, Rasor will act not only as a business advisor to the Group Holding Company, but also provide high-level strategic PR consultancy to clients of Text 100. Rasor brings more than 30 years of PR counsel, strategic planning and management experience to Text 100 and will advise the company on a number of initiatives during the upcoming year, including client services and business development.
During his tenure at The Document Company Xerox, Rasor was responsible for the development and implementation of PR programs in major market areas such as Western Europe, Brazil, the US and Canada, as well as emerging markets in Asia and Eastern Europe. While at Xerox, Rasor also spearheaded critical initiatives including the first integrated Pan European PR campaign implemented throughout major markets in Europe. He was also key in the development of PR campaigns that supported and drove forward corporate marketing initiatives and set the standard for PR practices throughout the company.
Other responsibilities at Xerox included media relations for the US operations, consultant communications and employee and management communications programs. Rasor was employed at Xerox for a total of 31 years, prior to which he work as a reporter with The Associated Press and as a reporter and editor for the Tampa Tribune.

Rasor's appointment is effective immediately. He joins Ian Taylor who became the first outside advisor appointed to the Text 100 Group board. Taylor, a member of the British Parliament was Minister for technology in the previous government.
