May 19, 1999 - Text 100 Group plc, the leading global technology communications consultancy, today announced the appointment of Christopher M. Nahil as general manager of the agency's Boston office. He will be responsible for the overall growth and profitability of the Text 100 Boston operation. Specifically, Nahil will raise awareness of the company's global communications capabilities among New England's high technology leaders, expand and mentor the Boston staff, and ensure that Text 100 plays an active role in the technology and business community in greater Boston.

With more than 13 years communications experience in both the agency and corporate environments, Nahil has worked with high-tech companies in markets ranging from semiconductors to supercomputers. He brings particular strengths in driving strategic direction and tactical execution, as well as account and financial management, staff development, and new business generation.

During his tenure as an account director at FitzGerald Communications, Nahil managed several accounts including GTE Internetworking, Monorail, Great Plains Software, Excel Switching Corp., ITS Testing Services, and Infinium Software. Additionally, he played an active role in new business development and contributed to agency-wide management. Prior to FitzGerald, Nahil was a public relations manager with Digital Equipment Corporation, and he previously worked at Miller Communications (now Miller/Shandwick) were he was responsible for strategic planning and tactical results for accounts such as Compaq, Keyfile, Intel Supercomputers, Applix and Jabil Circuits. Nahil also served with Hutchins/Young & Rubicam in Rochester, NY where he was a key member of the team that launched the Xerox DocuTech family of digital production publishers. He has also worked as a marketing communications writer for companies such as Computervision, Colonial Investments, MFS Investment Management, Intel, Sylvania and Wright Line.
