"South Africa’s leading IT Public Relations consultancy achieves a high profile for M-Web at a media launch that sees an inaugural message sent to the President of the United States, Mr Bill Clinton.
Mr Patrick Lekota, Chairperson of the National Council of Provinces (NCOP), opened South Africa’s first Internet café in Parliament in Cape Town recently by sending an e-mail to US President, Mr Bill Clinton.
The event was managed by Text 100, a leading South African public relations company whose core competency falls in the information technology and telecoms sectors. By associating the event with a world leader, capitalising on the news value of the opening being a first for South Africa’s parliament and through careful media strategy and selection, Text 100 garnered impressive media coverage for its client, M-Web.
"The media coverage was all encompassing with radio, television and radio print media," said Marlon Abrahams, Corporate Social Investment Manager for M-Web. ""The M-Group of companies prides itself on its reputation as a market innovator. As such we need a public relations consultancy that can stay the pace and go the extra mile. Text 100 achieves this and more in all areas,"" he says. The event was managed by Caroline Sedgwick and Mandisa Ntloko of Text 100, with strategic and creative support from Mandy de Waal.
