A new face for neural networks – less of the big brother, more of the big business
Cambridge based company Neurodynamics is to launch a public relations programme to educate business and technology audiences on the immediate benefits of pattern recognition solutions - the discipline of using computers to recognise patterns and work with them intelligently, often referred to as neural networks. The company has appointed Text 100 to manage and implement the campaign. The account, worth over £100,000 in revenues during the first year, was won by Text 100 following a competitive pitch. This campaign will complement the work done by Firefly to promote Autonomy Corporation Plc, a Neurodynamics subsidiary.
Emma Barnes, Communications Manager at Neurodynamics comments: "We have a complex technology and business proposition to communicate and believe that PR is the most efficient marketing tool to achieve this. This is an incredibly exciting area of technology but one that is prone to misunderstanding. We need a intelligent public relations campaign that neither exaggerates nor undervalues our ability to meet business problems with cost effective solutions."
She continued: "We chose Text 100 because they understood our business, our technology and our communication challenges, as well as having a strong spark of creativity. We were particularly impressed by the research the team had conducted into media perceptions about our company and our industry. As a result, we were able to agree together on the right, realistic strategic approach to take to achieve our business objectives. We talked to a number of different agencies, but Text 100 made us feel comfortable and secure in our choice."
Text 100 UK Managing Director, Katie Kemp said: "Neurodynamics is exactly the type of company Text 100 likes to work with - innovative, dynamic, a leader in its field and pushing the boundaries of technology and business. It is a welcome addition to our Personal Technology Business Unit's client portfolio."
Text 100's brief is to educate the corporate and technical press on the complex technical solutions developed by Neurodynamics and the business benefits associated with these solutions. Text 100 will keep journalists up-to-date with the latest technologies, case-studies and business developments from Neurodynamics, as well as becoming the first port of call for all Neurodynamics press enquiries in the UK.
