Text 100 Group plc, the international technology specialist PR consultancy, is today announcing the appointment of a new director to the Main Board. Carlo Crighton has been invited to join the board of directors in recognition of his extensive commercial and marketing knowledge and a strong track record as a senior manager of Text 100 subsidiary business. The appointment is effective as of February 1st, 1998.

Crighton will hold the position of Regional Director - Europe with Main Board responsibility for Text 100's strategy in continental Europe and Ireland. He will direct the company's subsidiaries and oversee the development of Text 100 services in that region.

Carlo Crighton has worked at Text 100, which is publicly quoted on OFEX, for 8 years. He has held various positions in the company, including being responsible for the opening of Text 100 Ireland in 1992. Crighton successfully built the subsidiary to become the leading technology PR consultancy in that market. He was appointed General Manager for Text 100 in mainland Europe in September 1997. Crighton's client experience at Text 100 includes 5 years of consultancy work for Microsoft, as well as consultancy for Gateway 2000, Intel and Bull Information Systems amongst others. He is aged 33, an Irish citizen and holds a Bachelor of Sciences Degree (Marketing) awarded by Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland.
