Text 100 Launches Into Sweden
Text 100’s Stockholm office is its eighth wholly owned subsidiary

Text 100, Europe's leading technology PR Consultancy, has announced the opening of its fully owned subsidiary in Sweden on 1 June 1996. Based in Stockholm, Text 100 AB will be headed up by Asa Hogman, the former marketing manager of Sweden's leading computer publication, MikroDatorn. Text 100 AB is the company's eight subsidiary, joining London, Paris, Munich, Dublin, Amsterdam, Johannesburg and Seattle.

The agency will hit the ground running with two new clients, Gateway 2000 and Attachmate with combined annual fees in excess of £125,000. Both accounts are currently handled on a pan-European basis by Text 100. Attachmate is the world's 5th largest privately held software company specialising in the fast growing Internet / Intranet marketplace. Gateway 2000 is a Fortune 500 company with annual revenues of $3.7 billion and is the leading direct marketer of personal computers in the US.

Andy West, group marketing director, Text 100, remarked, "Our strategy has always been to expand through organic growth into markets where our clients have a need. When Gateway 2000 announced its plans to open in Sweden, it provided us with the obvious opportunity to open Text 100 AB. This coincided with an increasing demand for Swedish PR support from both existing clients - Attachmate - and from a number of new prospects."

ORGANIC GROWTH TAKES TEXT 100 TO SWEDEN

Asa Hogman, general manager, Text 100 AB added: "We are delighted to have two clients of the calibre of Gateway 2000 and Attachmate from day one and we are also extremely confident of landing a number of other clients during the first six months. My goal is quite simple: we will be the leading technology PR consultancy in Sweden within 3 years."

Initially Text 100 AB will concentrate on the Swedish market but it is a firm goal to develop strong links with other Scandinavian agencies to offer clients a true pan-Scandinavian capability.
