Text 100 and NXP Semiconductors Win IPRA Golden World Award for Best International PR Programme

London, UK -- July 25, 2007 — Text 100, a leading global technology public relations agency, and NXP Semiconductors have been honored with a Golden World Award (GWA) by the International Public Relations Agency (IPRA). Text 100's award entry, entitled: 'NXP Revs up the Semiconductor Industry,' was a winner in the International PR category.

Against a background of dramatically decreasing media awareness and favourability, the PR team launched a nine-month global campaign in early 2006 to bolster visibility around Philips Semiconductors 'hero' products. The team's efforts were so successful that within months the company was the talk of the industry again, re-launching as the independent, vibrant, NXP Semiconductors hot on the heels of the industry's largest ever private equity buy-out.

"This award is a real testament to the global proposition that Text 100 brings to the table, particularly our ability to deliver innovative and coordinated programmes across multiple markets," said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100. "Our work with NXP Semiconductors went far beyond coverage. It changed advocacy and awareness among influencers and had a significant impact on the success of the newly formed NXP."

IPRA received more than 400 GWA entries from 46 countries for 21 different categories. The judges chose the winning programmes from the more than 100 entries that made it the shortlist.

"Once again entries were of a very high calibre which made judging difficult...but for all the right reasons. Entries to the Golden Award Awards provide an excellent gauge for the way public relations practice around the world is increasingly benefitting organisations and their stakeholders," said Michael Register, jury chair, IPRA.

The GWA prize ceremony will take place at a gala dinner in London on Tuesday, 6 November, 2007.
