The Holmes Report Names Text 100 as U.S. New Media Agency of the Year
Text 100 Recognized for Pioneering Work in Second Life, Peer Media, Monitoring and Measurement

New York, NY, May 15, 2007 — Text 100 Public Relations, a leading global technology agency, has been named the New Media Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report, one of the most influential publications covering the public relations industry. The honor was awarded on the basis of Text 100’s PR Agency Report Card submission, which details the state of participating companies’ businesses, competitive differentiators and recent client wins and innovations.

The Holmes Report recognized Text 100 for having “a definite viewpoint on the growing importance of digital and social media and its likely transformative effect on the public relations industry.” While Text 100 became widely known for establishing a presence in the virtual world of Second Life, The Holmes Report pointed out that “the Second Life office is just one element of a social media strategy that saw the development of new products and services” and a methodology “that gives structure to the firm’s programming”. The publication concluded: “arguably, no public relations firm is better placed to take a leadership role in the coming transformation.”

“In the digital age, it is vital for public relations practitioners to understand and utilize new media communications tools to effectively counsel clients,” said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100. “Receiving this honor from The Holmes Report is particularly gratifying because it recognizes Text 100’s role as an innovator and leader in dealing with this new sphere of influence.”

The Holmes Report has also awarded Text 100 an additional honor. Text 100 placed fifth among midsize public relations agencies in The Holmes Report Best Public Relations Agencies to Work For survey.

The recognition from The Holmes Report comes shortly after Text 100 won two PRWeek awards for its work in new media. Text 100 received the PR Innovation of the Year Award for the company’s endeavors in Second Life and also the Young PR Professional of the Year Award for Peer Media Consultant Aaron Uhrmacher’s work in managing the agency’s entry into the virtual world and displaying a keen understanding of social media technologies.
