Text 100 and Xerox Win Award for Nonprofit Partnership to Thank Troops

Rochester, NY, February 16, 2007 — Text 100 Public Relations, the world's largest independent technology public relations firm, and Xerox Corporation were honored at the PR News Nonprofit PR Awards last month. Text 100 and Xerox won "Best Corporate Partnership" for their Let's Say Thanks program, a free and easy way for the public to send thank you messages to U.S. troops serving overseas.

"We're honored to receive this award for Let's Say Thanks, especially because the program resonates so much with troops and their families both in the U.S. and abroad," said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100. "The PR News Nonprofit PR awards not only provide recognition for what we've done, but also for the good work of so many other organizations. Ultimately, the real winners are all the people who benefit from these worthy programs."

The Let's Say Thanks program began in late 2005 with a holiday card drive in Atlanta. From there, the project took off, quickly becoming a national program with a dedicated Web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com, from which members of the public can select card designs created by children across the country and include a message of support. The cards are printed on a Xerox iGen3 ® Digital Production Press and distributed in care packages put together by Give2TheTroops, a non-profit group that provides care packages to troops overseas.

"Our program is simply a way for people to connect, person to person," said Ed Gala, vice president, World Wide Strategic Public Relations, Xerox. "We've been overwhelmed by the response so far. It's inspiring to see so many people willing to take a moment to write a quick thank you."

Text 100 is working with Xerox and Give2TheTroops to continue the program into 2007. To date, more than 10 million messages to the troops have been submitted through the program.
