Text 100 Promotes Scott Friedman to Regional Director, North America
Technology Public Relations Agency Selects Industry Veteran to Lead Region

New York, NY, February 13, 2007 — Text 100 Public Relations, a leading global technology public relations firm, today announced the appointment of Scott Friedman as regional director, North America. Friedman, based in Text 100's New York City office, has been promoted from senior vice president and will now take on leadership of all of the company's North American operations.

Friedman has been with Text 100 since January 2003 and brings to the regional director position 20 years' experience in public relations and the media. He has extensive expertise in global coordination, client consultancy, people leadership and business management. Friedman's appointment comes after Text 100 completed an internal search for regional director.

"Text 100 has some of the most talented people in the public relations industry, which meant that it was only natural for us to look internally to identify a suitable candidate as regional director," said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100. "We always strive to develop our own people and Scott emerged as the leading candidate because of his outstanding experience and abilities. Just as importantly, Scott embraces Text 100's unique culture and is committed to continuing to build the kind of company that both our staff and clients want to be associated with."

Friedman has been the office lead for Text 100 New York the last year, and has previously served as Global Client Advocate for IBM, Text 100's largest account, driving integrated communications across account teams in North America, Asia and Europe. Additionally, Friedman has provided branding, PR planning and implementation for a wide variety of other high tech companies in segments that include services, hardware, software, telecommunications and others.

"I'm honored to have been given the opportunity to lead Text 100 in North America," said Scott Friedman, regional director, North America, Text 100. "The company is in an incredibly strong position at this time, with an ever-growing strong marquee technology client base and the best staff in the business. I'm looking forward to contributing further to the many successes that we are already achieving."

Prior to his time at Text 100, Friedman was technology practice director at Manning, Selvage & Lee in New York. Before moving into public relations, Friedman was an editor with CMP Publications. He was a reporter and editor for both Open Systems Today and InformationWeek. He was also a daily newspaper reporter and editor with the North Jersey Herald & News and the Daily Record in New Jersey, as well as Gannett Westchester Newspapers in New York.
