Public Relations Campaigns Gain National Recognition for Innovation and Creativity
ROCHESTER, N.Y., June 13, 2005 ? Text 100 International, one of the largest global technology public relations consultancies, and Xerox Corporation were honored with two Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). An icon of best public relations practices, the Silver Anvils are annually awarded to organizations who have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. The awards were presented during the Silver Anvil Celebration Event, June 9 in New York City.
"PRSA's recognition of Xerox's innovative PR programs reflects the combined talent of the Xerox and Text 100 PR teams -- along with an extended group of partners,? said Ed Gala, vice president, Worldwide Strategic Public Relations, Xerox Corp.
Aedhmar Hynes, CEO, Text 100, said, "These awards are a testament to Text 100 and Xerox's 13-year partnership that has spanned many markets. We're incredibly proud that together we've been recognized among the best in the industry.?
Xerox and Text 100 received the 2005 Silver Anvil Award for the "Help! My Office is Obsolete!" Office Makeover Program in the Business to Business Integrated Communications category. The Office Makeover concept grew into a successful marketing campaign aimed at the small business community, highlighting relevant Xerox products and services and generating extensive media coverage nationwide.
The launch of the Xerox Nuvera? technology platform won a Silver Anvil in the Product Brand Management category. The launch was the next step in Xerox's drive to expand its leadership in high-end black and white digital printing?a market Xerox created with its successful DocuTech? Production Publishers. The launch included a major multinational announcement involving thousands of Xerox customers, press and industry analysts worldwide.
The Office Makeover Program and the Xerox Nuvera Launch were also recognized with Silver Anvil Awards of Excellence in the Business to Business Marketing and Events ? Business Services categories, respectively.
"The PRSA Silver Anvil awards are the highest watermark of success for any public relations practitioner,? said David M. Imre, APR, 2005 PRSA Silver Anvil chair and president, Imre Communications, LLC.
