Text 100 Public Relations opens two new offices supporting multi-national clients
Further expansion in China and Norway enables continued organic growth

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif., May 02, 2005—Text 100 International, one of the largest global technology public relations consultancies, today announced the opening of new offices in Guangzhou, China and Oslo, Norway. The two new locations will support the needs of multinational clients and build on the company’s presence in these growing markets. Both offices are led by local contacts with proven expertise in PR consultancy and a keen understanding of their local market and industry influencers.

"Products and brands have become global, but strong relations with the local ecosystem are the key to developing customer engagement and loyalty,” said Aedhmar Hynes, CEO Text 100. "With Text 100’s strong international network we are able to custom build national and international campaigns for local business, while offering multi-national companies a presence and access to their local markets of critical importance. We bring our clients this global outlook and a technology specialty that enables us to seize a position in growing markets and strategically grow our business and our clients through organic means.”

Opened in January 2005, Guanzhou successfully completes a three-pillar infrastructure in China. As the third Text 100 location in China, Guangzhou will act as a satellite office supporting PR projects and events for incumbent clients in Guangzhou and throughout Southern China. The new office ensures extended on-the-ground capabilities to complement Text 100’s established presence in Beijing, which is focused on North China, and in Shanghai, which is focused on Eastern China. Day-to-day office operations are managed by Anna Zhang. Anna was born and raised in Guangzhou. With solid media relations across South and Southwest China, Anna has more than five years of agency experience representing leading IT companies such as Intel, Accenture, Maxtor and Netac. She currently oversees IBM and Logitech among other accounts in Guangzhou.

"South China provides strong opportunities for growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Text 100 will provide the direct sales and channel communications that are critical to help those SMEs build solid industry relations and strongly compete in the Pearl River Delta area,” said Chris Tang, general manager Text 100 China. "Additionally, Guangzhou provides a strong position to extend our reach beyond traditional tech into consumer technology, which is thriving in southern China.”

Opened in April 2005, the Norway presence meets the needs of the current client base and demonstrates Text 100’s commitment to organic growth globally. Norway works closely with Text 100 offices in Denmark and Sweden and will immediately service several Text 100 clients including IBM, Siebel and KiSS Technology. Operations in Norway are led by general manager, Andreas Thue, who is a native Norwegian with strong expertise in information technology and consumer public relations.

"Like many growing economies, the Nordics are a diverse of set of countries that wish to relate to a single strategic advisor with a global outlook but require specialized local PR expertise and execution,” said Johan Wetterqvist, VP Nordics Text 100. "Our goal is to improve our Nordic offering and grow together with our clients in this region.”
