Robert L. Winslow joins as regional director in North America
SAN FRANCISCO — August 20, 2003 — Text 100 International, one of the largest global technology public relations consultancies, today announced it has appointed Robert Winslow as North American Regional Director, effective immediately. An individual with a proven track record in the technology industry, Winslow will oversee Text 100’s five offices in the U.S. and manage long-term growth strategy for the company’s North American business.
“Bob brings a new level of executive acumen to our business,” said Aedhmar Hynes, Text 100 CEO. “As a result of many years developing technology brands of all sizes, he sees the world through the eyes of our clients. He is an individual with exceptional technology and business skills and has a strong core discipline in sales and marketing. At Text 100 our people and clients are everything, and it was critical to find someone who shared our passion for building a compelling client proposition. In Bob, we found a natural cultural fit.”
“Joining Text 100 provides me with an opportunity to capitalize on my many years in the tech industry,” said Winslow. “Text 100 is a strong organization with a clear perspective on how public relations can reach to the heart of a business - whether it’s a technology company or a non-tech company that uses technology as an enabler to differentiate itself in the market. It was this focus as well as amazing clients and employees that made Text 100 a company I felt I could contribute to.”
During the last nine years, Winslow worked with a number of technology companies including SS&C Technologies, Inc., Fame Information Services, Inc., Notara, Inc., and, most recently, Mandrakesoft, S.A. During this time, he worked closely with venture capital firms including Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, Warburg Pincus and General Atlantic Partners and was part of the executive team that took a number of companies to liquidity events including IPO. Winslow started his career with IBM and worked there for 14 years, leaving the company as Branch Manager, NY Finance and Securities Trading. In this position, his responsibilities included general management and P&L responsibility for sales and services to Citicorp, a $200 million global business relationship spanning 90 countries with management responsibility for a team of 100 people throughout the world. Winslow has worked in the U.S. and Europe and has overseen business development across Asia, Europe and the U.S. Winslow holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Santa Clara University, Santa Clara, and a certificate in Executive Management from Harvard University, Cambridge M.A.
Winslow will report directly to the CEO and will be based in Text 100’s newly expanded San Francisco office, which recently grew as a result of a merger with Text 100 Silicon Valley. The merger is designed to strengthen Text 100's service offering in the Bay Area and optimally positions the combined operations for future growth.
