SAN FRANCISCO-August 24, 2000 -Text 100, the largest global independent technology public relations firm in the world, has won, under intense competition, the PR account for broadband leader, Excite@Home's (Nasdaq: ATHM) Consumer Broadband Division. Text 100 will conduct both corporate and product public relations in North America, focused on Excite@Home's major consumer brands including the ExciteSM portal and the @HomeSM service, with an emphasis on bringing the broadband message to the masses. This is the sixth major new client that Text 100 North America has signed in the last six months.

In a highly publicized competitive review, Text 100 bested numerous other PR firms for the opportunity to represent Excite@Home in North America. Text 100 will draw on its experience representing Xerox PARC, AskJeeves and other clients to develop and implement an integrated business-to-business and consumer PR program for Excite@Home's Consumer Broadband Division. Text 100 San Francisco general manager, Ryan Donovan, and Account Director, Aysen Yilmaz, will oversee the account, and additional support will be provided by Text 100's recently established office in New York City.
