Text 100 Named Best Midsize Agency to Work For – Here’s Why

Posted on 26 April 2011

Editor’s Note: This is a guest post by Shari Roberts, SVP Global Human Resources, Text 100.

When I joined Text 100 in November, 2000 as the head of North America HR, I had never traveled outside North America – I didn’t even have a passport. And yet, ten years later here I am, leading the global human resources team for the 2011 Best Midsize Agency to Work For as recognized by The Holmes Report. I couldn’t be prouder to engage with such an amazing group of people and appreciative for the opportunities I’ve had through my work.

That first passport expired just last year – a surreal reminder of my very first (nervous!) international trip to Oxford, England for a global leadership meeting. It was so energizing to meet representatives from each of our global offices and to quickly realize that although we spoke different languages and came from different cultures, we shared the same Text 100 DNA. We are passionate. We achieve excellence. We are resilient. We truly care about the people we work with, and relish in celebrating the achievements of our teams.

Fast forward to last November, and another global leadership meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Many of the people were old friends from ten years prior. The rest felt like old friends the moment we met. That’s just what it’s like when you get a group of Texties together.  I’ve had the privilege of visiting our offices in London, Sydney, San Francisco, Beijing, Boston, Rochester, New Delhi and New York.  The desks may be different, the language may be different, but the dedication and spirit is the same no matter the Text 100 office.

Being recognized as a best agency this year is all the more sweet given the heightened level of agency competition and the demands we faced responding to radically changing global economies.  We stayed true to our people principles and have emerged a stronger team as a result.

Oh, and by the way, we are hiring! If you’d like to learn more about current vacancies, click here.
