Podcasts Posted – NY and Boston Events

Posted on 02 February 2006

Podcasts for the NY and Boston events are up finally – it was a fascinating experience preparing these. I still need to work out some of the finer details to polish the process for future casts, but this is a great start.

New York event podcast featuring Chris Barger, Joe Trippi and Georg Kolb and moderated by Aedhmar Hynes (to be heard here making a grand entrance at the beginning of the recording, but gracefully diving right in).

Boston event podcast featuring Joe Trippi, David Berlind, Greg Keating and Georg Kolb and moderated by Ken Peters.

Great podcast. I wanted to correct a mistake I made in my comments.

In arguing about how difficult it was to respond to all bloggers, I said that Pepsi had 600,000 hits on Technorati in one DAY; it was actually over the course of some [undefined] time. The salient question remains: “How can large corporations engage all bloggers that discuss their products?”

    Thanks again for coming, Keith!
On your question: Large corporations won’t be able to directly engage ALL bloggers that discuss their products, and they don’t have to. But they should engage with those who are influential, and only few of them actually are. Chris Anderson taught us the long tail of influence in the blogosphere. We need to focus on the thick end of the tail. (http://longtail.typepad.com/the_long_tail/)
