Position Summary

Responsible for driving the implementation of PR campaigns of both traditional media and social media campaigns.  Reports to a Senior Account Manager or Account Manager.  May manage interns or trainee employees.

Responsibilities

·         Drives the implementation of both traditional media and social media campaigns

·         Develops content including campaign plans, opinion pieces, presentations and proposals as well as press releases, social media releases, pitches and blog posts

·         Provide insight into key trends in the industries which are relevant to clients and creates story ideas that generate coverage and buzz

·         Manages community relations in key industry forums

·         Contributes toward new business pitches

 ·         Records time and expenses accurately and on time

·         Demonstrates a basic understanding of the Text100 business plan – our vision, mission, strategy and business model

·         May assume limited budget responsibility for assigned projects or campaigns.  Ensures the team executes against plans on time and within budget

·         With support from others, may begin to develop realistic content development budgets and plans

 

Client Influencer Relations

 

·         Demonstrates knowledge of how traditional media (print & broadcast), social media and analysts work in their market

·         Proactively develops relationships with key journalists, editors, analysts, bloggers and other influencers in the market and leverages these relationships to achieve results

·         Demonstrates a solid knowledge and understanding of social media as a communications channel and can advise clients

·         Supports the maintenance of agency contact details and briefing information on journalists, bloggers and other key influencers.   Encourages team members to do the same

·         Liaises effectively with clients and demonstrates reliability and excellence to deliver on campaign areas, as per the Text100% Service Standard

·         Able to  communicate clearly, concisely and confidently in written as well as spoken English

Public Relations Delivery

·         Effectively manages core coverage campaigns such as events, features programs, news announcements, blogger programs, social media listening activities and reviews programs

·         Produces high-quality written PR material in a timely manner.  Develops high quality first drafts of press releases, media alerts, briefing documents, monthly reports, action documents, case studies, by-line articles,  Q&A documents and letters

·         Supports the implementation of the Text100 consulting methodology

·         Follows the principles of Flawless Execution to ensure all work is completed to the highest quality, as per the Text100% Service Standard



 

Sales, Influencing & Brand Building

 

·         Contributes toward new business activity, client growth initiatives and cross-company initiatives as agreed with manager

·         Maintains regular communication with internal and external networks


Minimum Qualifications

·         Undergraduate degree or equivalent ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism

·         Actively communicates via social media platforms

·         Proven track record in delivering landmark results in the press and other media

·         Ability to travel on a short term basis for client and business demands

Desired Qualifications

·         Postgraduate qualification ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism
