Position Summary

Responsible for driving the implementation of PR campaigns and achieving results for clients as agreed with the account manager.  Provides critical day-to-day interface with traditional and social media for client PR campaigns. 

Responsibilities

·         Implements both traditional media and social media campaigns

·         Develops content including opinion pieces, press releases, social media releases, pitches and blog posts

·         Provides insight into key trends in the industry which are relevant to clients and create story ideas that generate coverage and buzz

·         Participates or manages community relations in key industry forums

·         Contributes toward new business pitches

Client Influencer Relations

·         Demonstrates knowledge of how traditional media (print & broadcast) and social media work in their market and continues to increase the diversity of his or her media knowledge

·         Proactively develops relationships with key journalists and bloggers in the market and leverages these relationships to achieve results

·         Demonstrates a solid knowledge and understanding of using social media as a communications channel

·         Maintains accurate and up to date contact details and briefing information on journalists, bloggers and other key influencers on behalf of the agency

·         Liaises effectively with clients and demonstrates reliability and excellence to deliver on campaign areas, as per the Text100% Service Standard

·         Openly communicates across team and with clients or other external networks - ensuring timely, honest and transparent communication of both good and bad information

·         Able to  communicate clearly, concisely and confidently in written as well as spoken English

·         Ability to read and understand complex business English

Public Relations Delivery

·         Proactively tracks media (traditional & social media) opportunities, including features, topical discussions,  awards programs and editorial calendars

·         Effectively manages key components of client campaigns including events, features programs, news announcements, blogger programs, social media listening activities and reviews programs

·         Produces high-quality written PR material in a timely manner, including quality first drafts of news releases, media alerts, briefing documents, monthly reports, action documents, case studies, Q&A documents and letters 

·         Has a basic understanding of the Text100 PR consulting methodology

·         Follows the principles of Flawless Execution to ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and error free, as per the Text100% Service Standard


Sales, Influencing & Brand Building

·         Contributes toward new business activity, client growth initiatives and cross-company initiatives as agreed with manager

·         Maintains regular communication with internal and external networks


Minimum Qualifications

·         Undergraduate degree or equivalent ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism

·         Actively communicates via social media platforms

·         Proven track record in delivering landmark results in the press and social media

 

Desired Qualifications

·         Postgraduate qualification ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism
