Ava Lawler - Director, Asia Pacific

Ava began her career in consumer PR, working with a number of leading Australian brands including CSR Sugar, Seppelts Wines, Staggers Jeans and Telecom Australia, and today has more than 16 years communications experience in the Australian, U.K and South African markets.

Joining Text 100 in London in 1992, she relocated to South Africa in 1995 to build the company's business there and three years later found herself in Sydney establishing a new operation from the ground up. Under her purview, Text 100's Sydney office grew quickly and in 1999 Ava was invited to manage the establishment of a new public relations brand in Australia, AUGUST.ONE COMMUNICATIONS; a wholly owned subsidiary of Text 100's holding group, Next Fifteen Communications. In this role, Ava oversaw the development of offices in Auckland and Hong Kong. When AUGUST.ONE merged with Text 100 in 2004, Ava then assumed a new role as PR practices lead for Asia.

Today, as Director, APAC, Ava oversees Text 100's 13 offices in the rapidly evolving Asia Pacific region, working closely with many of the company's most high-profile clients.

During her many years with the Group, Ava has been known for her innate leadership skills and her exceptional ability to build innovative public relations campaigns as she has done for clients such as British Telecommunications (BT), Commonwealth Bank Group, Microsoft, Virgin Mobile and Visa.

Ava graduated from Queensland University of Technology, with a Bachelor of Business Communications. She lives in Sydney with her husband, Danny, and two beautiful children, Sebastian and Kaija.
